Robert D. Harthorne /     AIA, CEFPI -    Principal

Bob Harthorne has a broad background in educational project planning, design and construction. Bob's recent experience includes numerous educational projects at the primary and secondary levels, both new and modernization. A critical element in the success of these projects is Bob's personal involvement in all phases from Ed Specs through the one year warranty construction period and beyond. Bob's planning experience includes land use traffic studies; SEPA reviews; and permitting processes on local, state and federal levels. He has practical experience in construction management, construction administration, budget development, scheduling and conflict resolution. Bob's Bond Planning with several school districts has helped in the passage of major Capital Projects Bond Issues and the planning and construction of over $150 million dollars of OSPI-matched projects within the last fifteen years. 

Bob received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Washington in 1972 and is a licensed architect in Washington and Alaska. 

 
 

Stuart Stovin /     AIA, LEED AP, CEFPI -    Principal

Registered in Washington and Alaska, Stuart has 32 years experience as an architect. He is responsible for projects involving programming and feasibility studies, sensitive land-use approvals, site planning, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration services. Stuart also directs the effective implementation of computer technology in the firm. He is a LEED Accredited Professional. 

Stuart received his Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University, studied overseas as a Fulbright Scholar, and taught at W.S.U. as a visiting lecturer. He has chaired the Exhibits Committee of the Seattle American Institute of Architects, and is a Professional Member of the International Council of Building Officials.
